DIS Sign-On Checklist for Military Experts
“Should I sign on with the Digital and Intelligence Service?” is too broad to answer safely.
The DIS has several Military Domain Expert roles. Their public entry level, academic requirements, training and work focus are not interchangeable. Even after you identify the right role, the public careers page cannot tell you the service commitment, bonus conditions, posting, work pattern or exit terms in your personal offer.
The useful job is therefore to compare three layers: the exact role, the current public facts, and the written offer.
This guide is unofficial. The DIS recruiter, current careers page, medical and security assessment, offer letter, contract, and official instructions override it. Do not seek or share non-public operational details when researching a role.
