SAF eMart Order Delayed: What to Check
An SAF eMart order can feel late before the official clock has even started. The useful starting point is not the day you added items to the cart or saw a payment screen. It is the order confirmation email.
Current MINDEF guidance says home delivery and self-collection, excluding sewing service, should take 3–5 working days from the confirmation email. It also says you will receive a call or SMS when the order is ready for delivery or collection.
This guide turns those rules into a clean troubleshooting sequence. It is unofficial. OneNS, the confirmation email, the selected collection mode, eMart customer service, and current MINDEF instructions override anything here.

Quick version
- A successful online eMart order should have an order number and confirmation email.
- MINDEF's published 3–5 working-day timing starts from that email, not from the first checkout attempt.
- The 3–5 working-day guidance excludes sewing service.
- Wait for the call or SMS before travelling to collect an order.
- eLocker orders should be collected within 3 calendar days after the notification day; uncollected items are returned to Army Logistics Base for collection within 30 days.
- For a delayed or order-specific problem, use the ST Logistics order hotline or email. Use the separate HQ Supply eMart contact for credit or policy questions.
First Confirm That The Order Exists
MINDEF's online-purchase guide says a completed order produces a transaction confirmation on screen and an order confirmation email. Its separate success check says a successful order has both:
- an order number; and
- an order confirmation email.
If you have neither, do not immediately count five working days and assume a parcel is moving.
Start by checking:
- the email address entered during checkout;
- inbox, spam, junk, and filtered folders;
- whether an order number appears in your eMart records;
- whether payment or credits were actually deducted;
- whether the browser was closed, refreshed, or sent back during checkout.
MINDEF says an unstable connection or using the back, close, or refresh controls before checkout completes can interrupt payment. That is an unsuccessful-checkout problem, not a delayed-delivery problem.
Do not place a duplicate order until you have checked whether the first one succeeded. MINDEF's current FAQ says eMart orders cannot be refunded or cancelled.
Start The Clock At The Confirmation Email
The official timing is precise:
Home delivery and self-collection, excluding sewing service, will be within 3–5 working days from the time you receive the email confirmation.
Use the confirmation email's date and time as day zero. Then count working days, not calendar days.
That means:
- a weekend does not turn a Friday confirmation into a Monday delay;
- a public holiday can extend the practical calendar span;
- an order placed earlier but confirmed later should be counted from the later confirmation;
- sewing or alteration work is outside the published 3–5 working-day timing.
The official page does not promise a particular hour on day three. Treat the window as up to five working days before classifying an ordinary non-sewing order as outside the published timing.
Delivery And Collection Need A Notification
MINDEF says you will be notified by call or SMS about delivery or collection.
For self-collection, the safest sequence is:
- receive the order confirmation email;
- allow the published processing window;
- receive the collection call or SMS;
- check the named location and current opening details;
- travel only after the order is ready.
Do not use the order-confirmation email as a collection-ready notice. They are different events.
Before deciding that the notification never arrived, check:
- the mobile number entered at checkout;
- missed calls from an unfamiliar Singapore number;
- SMS filtering or blocked-message settings;
- whether the order was placed using an old profile or contact number;
- whether another authorised person received the message.
Keep the confirmation email and order number. They are the shortest route to an order-specific support check.
Know Which Delivery Mode You Chose
Current MINDEF guidance lists:
- home delivery;
- self-collection at an eMart outlet;
- self-collection at an eLocker; and
- self-collection through a Mobile eMart.
Home delivery carries a fee. Self-collection inside a camp or base requires the necessary security clearance to enter that location.
That last point matters. A collection location visible during checkout is not permission to enter a camp. If you do not have the required access, contact customer service before travelling and ask what official alternative applies.
If you need help changing between home delivery and self-collection, MINDEF directs users to the ST Logistics Customer Service Centre. Do not assume the selection can be changed informally at an outlet after the parcel is already being processed.
eLocker Has Its Own Deadline
eLocker collection is convenient, but the pickup window is shorter than many people expect.
MINDEF says:
- you receive an SMS when the order is ready;
- you should collect it within 3 calendar days, excluding the notification day;
- an uncollected order is returned to Army Logistics Base; and
- it should then be collected there within 30 days.
So an eLocker case has two separate timing questions:
- When will the order become ready? Use the 3–5 working-day processing guidance from the confirmation email.
- How long do I have after it is ready? Use the 3-calendar-day eLocker collection rule.
If someone else must collect the order, MINDEF says you may authorise another person, but you bear responsibility for personal-information leakage or damaged goods. Share only what is required for the collection.
What To Do On Working Day Six
If a non-sewing order is still unresolved after five working days from the confirmation email, prepare one compact support message.
Include:
- order number;
- confirmation email date and time;
- delivery mode;
- selected collection location, if applicable;
- contact number used for the order;
- whether any call or SMS was received;
- a short description such as "no collection notification after five working days".
Do not send unnecessary service, medical, identity, or operational details. The order number and contact details should be enough to identify the transaction.
MINDEF publishes these order-specific contacts:
- ST Logistics Customer Service Centre: 6559 7266
- Hours: 8:30am–5:00pm on weekdays, excluding weekends and public holidays
- Email: online.orders@stlogs.com
Another MINDEF page for changing delivery mode lists the same hotline with 8:00am–5:30pm office hours. Because the published pages differ slightly, use the narrower 8:30am–5:00pm weekday window when planning a call, or email the order address with the order number.
Use The Right Support Lane
MINDEF separates order problems from credit or policy problems.
Use the ST Logistics order contact for:
- an order outside the delivery window;
- missing collection notification;
- delivery or self-collection changes;
- an order-number status check;
- a delivery or collection problem.
Use the HQ Supply eMart contact for:
- eMart credit questions;
- policy questions;
- credit-account issues.
MINDEF publishes the HQ Supply eMart hotline as 6559 7031 during weekday office hours, excluding weekends and public holidays, and the email as emart@defence.gov.sg.
Sending an order-tracking question to the policy lane can slow the answer because the team still needs to redirect it.
If The Item Is Needed For ICT Or Duty
A pending online order does not change the packing list, reporting order, or unit instruction.
If the item is required soon:
- contact the order-support lane with the order number;
- check the current official eMart outlet page rather than relying on remembered hours;
- confirm that you have access before travelling to an in-camp outlet;
- tell the unit contact early if a required issued item is unavailable;
- follow the written reporting or packing instruction.
Do not assume a delayed parcel automatically excuses a missing item. Equally, do not buy a duplicate in panic before confirming whether the original order succeeded, because current eMart guidance does not allow order cancellation or refund.
For a calmer preparation flow, use the ICT packing list before the final week.
Check The Parcel When It Arrives
Keep the delivery note or eMart receipt until you have checked:
- item;
- quantity;
- size;
- visible defects; and
- whether the package matches the order.
MINDEF says online-purchase exchanges are limited to sizing, defective items, or wrongly delivered items. It says the exchange request should be made in person within 7 working days of receiving or collecting the items, with the delivery note or eMart receipt, and the items should be unused and in their original packaging.
This is why "open, verify, then use" is better than throwing away the paperwork immediately.
A Clean Troubleshooting Script
Use this sequence:
I have eMart order [order number], confirmed by email on [date and time]. The selected mode is [home delivery/self-collection/eLocker] at [location if relevant]. It is now [number] working days after confirmation. I have checked missed calls and SMS and have not received [delivery/collection] notification. Could you confirm the current order status and next action?
It is short, factual, and gives the support team the identifiers they need.
Common Mistakes
- Counting from the cart or payment attempt instead of the confirmation email.
- Counting calendar days as working days.
- Forgetting that sewing service is excluded from the 3–5 working-day guidance.
- Travelling before the collection call or SMS.
- Choosing an in-camp collection point without access clearance.
- Missing the 3-calendar-day eLocker pickup window.
- Contacting the credit-policy lane for a parcel-status problem.
- Placing a duplicate order before confirming whether checkout succeeded.
- Discarding the receipt before checking size, quantity, and condition.
- Waiting until the night before ICT to raise a required-item problem.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long should an SAF eMart order take?
MINDEF says home delivery and self-collection, excluding sewing service, should be within 3–5 working days from the order confirmation email. A call or SMS should notify you about delivery or collection.
What proves that my eMart order succeeded?
MINDEF says a successful order has an order number and an order confirmation email. If checkout was interrupted and you have neither, verify the transaction before counting a delivery delay or placing another order.
Who should I contact when an eMart order is late?
For an order-specific delay, MINDEF directs users to the ST Logistics Customer Service Centre at 6559 7266 or online.orders@stlogs.com. Keep the order number and confirmation date ready.

Bottom Line
Use the confirmation email as the start line, count up to five working days, and wait for the delivery or collection notification. If the order moves outside that window, send the order number, confirmation date, delivery mode, and missing-notification detail to the order-specific ST Logistics support lane.
