Posted to a New Unit Mid-NS: What to Do
Being posted out after months in one unit can feel harder than the first move after BMT. You are not only learning a new reporting point. You may be leaving people, routines, responsibilities, and a support system that finally felt familiar.
The safest response is to separate what is official from what is still unknown. Confirm the order, close the old-unit handover, reconcile records, and give the new routine time to become real before deciding what the transfer means.
Public guidance does not explain every mid-service transfer reason, notice period, handover process, vocation outcome, or effect on future ORNS. Do not fill those gaps with rumours. This guide is unofficial; your Posting Order, current and receiving units, commanders, medical instructions, and OneNS records override it.
