Mono-Intake BMT: What It Means and Doesn't
You have an SAF enlistment date, and the group chat says your batch is a “mono intake”. Soon, the rumour grows into a complete story about your unit, training, posting, command-school chances, and the rest of your two years.
Only the first part of that story has a clear official basis. Under the One-BMT model announced by MINDEF, mono-intake units go through a common BMT at BMTC on Pulau Tekong and begin their NS journey together as a unit. That explains the cohort design. It does not make every prediction about an individual recruit true.
