Bullying in NS: Reporting and Support
You do not need to win an argument over the word “bullying” before asking for help in National Service.
Describe the behaviour instead: repeated insults, humiliation, threats, unwanted contact, interference with belongings, an unauthorised activity, or conduct that makes you feel unsafe. Then make the immediate risk, pattern, people involved, and support you need visible through the correct official route.
MINDEF said in March 2026 that the SAF takes a zero-tolerance stance towards unacceptable workplace conduct, investigates reports related to workplace harassment, and can arrange psychological support or suitable distancing or redeployment where needed. For SAF, SCDF and SPF servicemen, CMPB publishes a grievance ladder based on whether the complaint concerns a colleague or the immediate superior.
